AI Agent Engineering

Some work deserves
a human touch.
This isn't that work.

We design, build, and deploy custom automation systems for founders and operators who have better things to do than run repetitive workflows. The right technology for each problem. Flat fee. Fixed timeline. Clean handoff.

The situation

You know these processes could run themselves. You just haven't had time to build that.

The familiar problem
  • Your team spends hours on tasks that should be automated
  • You've tried ChatGPT — it's useful, but it's not integrated into anything
  • Hiring a full-time AI engineer is expensive and slow
  • Agencies want retainers, lengthy kickoff calls, and six-week timelines
  • You don't need a platform — you need one thing that works
What we do instead
  • We scope your workflow efficiently — a structured form, a clear doc, and as much or as little back-and-forth as your project needs
  • We build a purpose-built agent connected to your actual tools and data
  • We deploy it, document it, walk you through it on Loom
  • We hand it over completely — you own the code, the workflow, and the documentation. No lock-in, no ongoing fees to us
  • We close the engagement. You get your hours back.
Our philosophy

We use AI when it earns its place. Not before.

Our priority is automation — making your inefficient processes less costly, less error-prone, and less dependent on human time. AI is one tool in that kit, and a powerful one. But not every problem needs it. A well-designed workflow, a clean API integration, or a scheduled job will often outperform an AI solution at a fraction of the complexity and cost.

We scope every project around the outcome you need, then choose the technology that gets you there with the highest ROI. We don't shoehorn AI into builds where it doesn't belong — and we'll tell you plainly if a simpler solution is the right one.

The process

Six steps. Structured, efficient, and built around your schedule.

01
You fill out the intake form Async

Seven questions. Fifteen minutes. We learn what you need built, what tools are involved, and what success looks like. Most clients find this replaces a discovery call entirely — but if you'd prefer to talk through it, that's an option too.

02
We send you a scoping doc Async

A one-page document that defines exactly what we'll build, what we won't touch, and what we need from you (API keys, data access, credentials). You sign off and we're aligned before a single line of code is written.

03
50% deposit via Stripe Async

A payment link arrives in your inbox. No invoices, no net-30 terms. Once the deposit clears, the build starts. The remaining 50% is collected automatically on delivery.

04
We build Build phase

Once scoped and funded, we get to work. The scoping doc keeps everyone aligned without the need for ongoing check-ins — but we're reachable if something comes up. On Standard and Premium engagements, we send a mid-point Loom update so you always know where things stand.

05
Delivery + full handoff Async

You receive a Loom walkthrough of the deployed system, a written runbook, and everything you need to operate it confidently. Final payment collects automatically. If you'd like a live walkthrough call instead of or alongside the Loom, just say so — we're happy to do it. Your support window opens.

06
Support window closes. We're done. Done

No retainer. No ongoing obligation. When the support window closes, the engagement ends cleanly. If you need something new, that's a new project — same process from the top.

Every delivery includes

Not just code. A working system you can actually operate.

01
A deployed, working agent

Not a prototype. Not a script you have to figure out how to run. A live agent integrated into your environment, connected to your tools, ready to use on day one.

02
Loom walkthrough

A narrated screen recording walking through exactly how the system works, what it does in each scenario, and what to do if something behaves unexpectedly.

03
Written runbook

Plain-language documentation covering how to use the agent, how to update it, and how to hand it to a future team member without them needing to call us.

04
Async support window

Responsive support for 7–30 days post-delivery depending on your tier. Questions answered within one business day. We keep it focused — email works well for most things, and we're happy to jump on a call if something genuinely needs one.

Pricing

Flat fees. No surprises. No retainers.

About

Built by someone who has spent decades fixing broken processes.

XolutionLab is led by David Power — a computer engineer, CFA charterholder, and banking and finance veteran who spent the better part of his career doing one thing: finding where organizations waste time and money, and eliminating it.

After a decade leading change management teams inside major financial institutions — reviewing operational processes, identifying inefficiencies, and presenting recommendations to senior leadership — David moved into independent consulting, helping SMBs integrate systems, automate workflows, and actually get their technology to work together. AI agents are the natural evolution of that work — the same process-first thinking, now with tools powerful enough to execute on it in days rather than months.

  • Computer Engineering degree — the technical foundation behind every build
  • CFA charterholder — rigorous analytical training applied to every engagement scoping and ROI framing
  • 25 years in banking & finance — including 10 years leading operational change management at the senior level
  • 10+ years of independent consulting — delivering systems integrations, marketing technology, and process automation to SMBs
  • Every engagement starts with the right question — not “how do we build this?” but “what problem are we actually solving?” A background spanning engineering, finance, and a decade of client-facing consulting produces a problem-solving approach that’s equal parts analytical and practical.

Migrating over a thosand students — with one click

Effortless Mindfulness Institute needed to move its student base from a legacy LMS to a new mobile platform without manual re-enrollment, broken subscriptions, or lost access. We built a one-click migration flow that handled the entire handoff invisibly.

What was automated
  • One-click student migration cancelling legacy Stripe subscriptions and creating new ones simultaneously
  • Scholarship application and review pipeline connecting survey platform, Laravel back-end, Stripe, and checkout
  • Subscription renewal reminder system reducing chargebacks from “forgot I’d subscribed” disputes
  • Gift subscription system: purchase, code generation, personalized email delivery, and Stripe fulfillment end-to-end
“David built solutions that made a complex platform migration completely invisible to our students — and continues to save our marketing and support teams countless hours every week. He navigates every platform and technical challenge we throw at him and always finds a solution.”

From invisible pipeline to automated qualification engine

DYSRPT works with high-ticket founders preparing for exit or building elite leadership. Leads were arriving from four different sources with no qualification gate and no single view of the pipeline — deals were going quiet without anyone noticing.

What was automated
  • All four lead sources unified into a single ActiveCampaign pipeline — no Zapier, no sync dependencies
  • 14-automation micro-scoring engine evaluating revenue, role, timeline, and readiness on a 100-point scale
  • Three-path auto-routing: qualified prospects get a personalized email and gated Calendly link; warm leads enter a nurture drip; cold leads get a graceful redirect
  • Revenue ingestion from Stripe and ThriveCart running 24/7, with forward-looking 12-month subscription waterfall forecasting
“David doesn't just build what you ask for — he figures out what you actually need. The system he built has been running without intervention since day one. That's rare. His skill, process, professionalism, and execution have improved my business in every way.”

Automated audio pipeline for a Hollywood composer’s media library

A composer scoring multiple television productions needed to manage, search, and deploy thousands of music cues across seasons and episodes — a task his team was handling manually. We built a cloud asset system with a fully automated processing pipeline on every ingestion.

What was automated
  • Batch upload and AWS S3 ingestion with automatic metadata extraction into a cloud Postgres database
  • BPM detection, duration analysis, and attribute tagging on every cue at upload
  • MP3 reference track identifiation, generation, and upload
  • Searchable, filterable web library with in-browser audio preview and one-click zip download of cue stems packages
  • Role-based entitlements for Admins, Editors, Viewers, etc.
“We have tens of thousands of cues across dozens of projects. David built something that ingests, processes, and organizes all of it automatically. It’s become infrastructure we depend on every day.”

Tell us what you need. We'll take it from there.

The intake form does most of the heavy lifting — the more context you give us, the tighter the scoping doc we send back. For straightforward projects, that's often all we need. For more complex engagements, it becomes the foundation for a short scoping conversation.

We review every submission within 2 business days. If your project is a fit, you'll hear from us with next steps. If it isn't, we'll tell you that too — no ghosting.

We work best with founders and operators who have a specific, well-understood workflow problem. If you're still figuring out what you need, we're probably not the right fit yet — but feel free to check back when that changes.

We accept a limited number of projects each month. If current capacity is full, we'll let you know and add you to the waitlist.
